Smoky Quartz Points

Smoky quartz is a type of crystalline quartz that comes in a variety of colors. They can range from a light to dark grey or sometimes brown! It also gets it’s color from from its proximity to natural sources of radiation such as radioactive minerals.

This unique crystal has a background in more than one culture and country, but it is the national gem of Scotland. It reoccurs frequently in Celtic lore and legend, with a specific connection to the Druids. Smoky quartz was used by the Druids to deepen and solidify their connection to the spirit realm and to nature. In mythology, the stone is associated with the ancient Greek goddess of magic, Hecate. It also represents the dark powers of Earth gods and goddesses.

Smoky quartz signifies stability and grounding, so much so that the crystal is called the “grounding stone.” Smoky Quartz is known to dissipate negativity, Balance energies of mind and body. Good for meditation. Protective and grounding stone. Enhances dream awareness and channeling abilities. Aids depression and is mildly sedative and relaxing.
